The Professional Blur Season 2 Premiere – Jimmy Pardo

What better way to launch season 2  than with Jimmy Pardo?  His extra gig is with a mutual hero of ours.  Years later, I end up an extra on a show Jimmy has a part on, years before we actually meet.

Also, this season, you can support the show on Patreon for exclusive video episodes and any other supplements I think up.  This Patreon video episode, though, is free, so you can see us chatting and see a clip of Jimmy in “Light of Day.”  (see the Professional Blur Podcast Playlist below)

Katie Mears returns to talk about a less-conventional comedy album, at least compared to our usual fare.  We’re also briefly visited by her grandmother, who recalls what a big part of culture Will Rogers was when she was a kid.

Also, if you want to see the video version of some of my

Graham is the other half of my favorite podcast, and he agreed to talk about one of my favorite albums of all time.  We talk about why certain types of comedy work the way they do, as well as Graham’s delight at getting to open for the Brothers themselves.

WNYXicans… there’s only one place where you can hear the opening scene to Season Six, Episode 1, and its right here.  This week, Allen and Jason discover the first three pages – fully-wardrobed and, we assume, shot on film – that have never seen the light of day.  In this episode, Allen and J

She’s an absolute legend.  Fran Brill was there in the early Henson days and has been acting in every conceivable medium since before then, trying her hand at everything.  She picked a fantastic album to discuss, as well.
